Ilana Szarf

SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST, YOUTH OCEAN CONSERVATION SUMMIT

Ilana is a South Florida native and a passionate environmental leader in her community. In high school, she created a chapter of Plastic Free Mermaids at her school, a club that spreads awareness about plastic pollution through a variety of media. She went on to collaborate with Oceana, Debris Free Oceans, and other organizations to educate her peers on the effects of plastic pollution. Ilana joined the YOCS team as a Social Media Specialist in 2022.
