Sumaya Raihan

COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR, YOUTH OCEAN CONSERVATION SUMMIT

Sumaya is a student studying Zoology with Animal Behaviour at Bangor University in North Wales. She was a founding member of the Hanwell Zoo Direction Board, the first Zoological Youth Board in the U.K. She has attended the Marine Biological Association's Young Marine Biologists Summit since 2018, and joined the YOCS team in 2022. Alongside her studies, Sumaya has recently become a Beach Clean Project co-leader, and helps organize regular events to help preserve the local coastline.
